Miami will be the star-studded venue of choice on Wednesday night as PSG meet Juventus in the International Champions Cup.Match Information
Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, United States 27 Jul 2017 1:05 am (GMT)
Key Stat: PSG have the opportunity to play with an all-Brazilian back line, and that should give them an advantage in the heat of Miami.
Expert Verdict: PSG and Juventus will meet in Miami, with a sight of the beach and the summer vacation that was in close sight. But only business will be on their minds, as both teams look to improve after last season's adventures. PSG have a ton of Brazilian stars making up their core, so it is hard to see them losing out in the humidity, while Juventus are likely to struggle in it.Our prediction
Paris SG Team News, Updates, and Facts
Unai Emery has been able to bring in new signings Dani Alves and Yuri Berchiche for the summer, and Jese Rodriguez has somewhat surprisingly made the trip. Julian Draxler did not make it due to his efforts at the Confederations Cup with Germany, while Aurier, Krychowiak, and Ben Arfa were left behind seemingly to find new ventures for themselves.
Angel Di Maria was truly brilliant last season for PSG, and they played their best football when he was involved (i.e. the first leg with Barca; he was not present enough in the second). That showed he can be a huge factor when afforded the chance, and that could allow him to stamp his authority on this match.
PSG have a loss, two draws, and two wins in their last five outings. They won 0-5 away to Saint Etienne and then drew 1-1 at home to Caen to end their Ligue 1 season. They then won 0-1 over Angers in the Coupe de France Final before drawing 1-1 with Roma in the ICC before getting a penalty win. Last time out on Saturday, they lost 2-4 to Tottenham.PSG Predicted Starting Line-up Expected Line-up: 4-3-3 PSG likely XI
Defenders:Alves, Silva, Marquinhos, Maxwell
Midfielders:Rabiot, Motta, Verratti
Forwards:Di Maria, Lucas, Cavani
Juventus Team News, Updates, and Facts
Max Allegri has new signing Douglas Costa available to him, and Alex Sandro is also along for the ride despite links. Center back Leonardo Bonucci has moved on to AC Milan meanwhile. He has injuries to Marko Pjaca and Lorenzo Rossetti, so neither will feature here.
A close eye is always needed to be kept over attacking midfielder Paulo Dybala, but it'll be interesting to see how he reacts to the events going on around him of late. Links and quotes about him are roaming all over, and it will be fascinating to see how they could affect his play on the pitch.
Juve have two losses and three wins in their last five matches. They won 2-0 over Lazio in the Coppa Italia Final before winning 3-0 over Crotone at home and 1-2 over Bologna away to end their Serie A season. Next was the 1-4 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League Final. They lost on Saturday to Barcelona by a score of 1-2 in the ICC.Juventus Predicted Starting Line-up Expected Line-up: 4-2-3-1 Juventus likely XI
Defenders:Lichsteiner, Benatia, Barzagli, Sandro
Defensive Midfielders:Khedira, Asamoah
Attacking Midfielders:Dybala, Lemina, Marchisio
Paris SG vs Juventus Head-to-Head Stats
This will be the first time these teams have met before in any competition, official or otherwise.
PSG vs Juventus Betting Tips and Odds
Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:
PSG are at 12/5 to win, a draw is at 5/2, and a Juventus win is at 11/10.
For this match, we think the odds should dictate a play for PSG. The Paris side have a number of younger players in it, and they will likely be a little more eager to impress and push on than their Italian counterparts. There is also a little bit of a 'downward' trend in attitude at Juve right now, and we think PSG could just capitalize on that.
Both teams lost in their last match, but PSG were only dealt that blow largely because of a goalkeeper red card and subsequent errors as well. We think they can do better and will show that here.
Dani Alves will already be meeting his old club here, so that is a sight that will be interesting to watch and see.
Due to it being preseason, we are going to say that both teams will score. When combined with a PSG win, this can get you 9/2 odds, which look good from here.PSG vs Juventus Prediction
In the Dani Alves showdown, we like PSG's chances to overcome Juve in hot and humid Miami.

Paris Saint-Germain continued their march towards the Ligue 1 title with a 3-0 victory at home to Valenciennes on Friday night.
Goals from Ezequiel Lavezzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and an own goal from Gary Kagelmacher earned the capital club a comfortable victory.
The success moved PSG eight points clear of second-placed Monaco ahead of the weekend's matches, while Valenciennes remain in the thick of a relegation battle.
The hosts started strongly, Yohan Cabaye's free-kick picking out Ibrahimovic, who flicked the ball on to Lavezzi, but the Argentinian's backheel was blocked by goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau.
Lavezzi found the net after only 18 minutes, though, helping the ball home from close range after Ibrahimovic's free-kick fell kindly for him.
PSG's front two were causing the visitors all sorts of problems and Ibrahimovic set up another chance for his team-mate, whose shot from inside the area was saved by Penneteau.
The Valenciennes keeper was keeping his side in the game and he did well to keep out a low Ibrahimovic drive.
But the Swede doubled his team's lead six minutes into the second half, volleying home right-footed from point-blank range following a cross from Cabaye.
And the hosts had victory secure two minutes later as the unfortunate Kagelmacher turned a cross from the impressive Lavezzi into his own net.
VA at least showed some fight, Tongo Doumbia bringing a smart stop out of Salvatore Sirigu just after the hour mark, but PSG were already home and dry.

Any team drawn in the same Champions League group as PSG this season was going to have a hard time of it. The fact that Bayern were that team suggested that PSG might be the ones having the hard time, but momentum has swung away from the Germans and toward the French so far this season and PSG will be the favorites going into their first contest in the group stage of the Champions League.
French football was shaken up last season when PSG failed to win the title. They had all but engraved their name right across its front and painted it blue and red. That’s how dominant they had been, but faced with a young and exciting Monaco team, they weren’t able to retain the 2016/2017 trophy and will be looking to make amends this season.
They are in the process of doing just that as well, because they have been on fire so far this season. They beat Toulouse 6-0, St-Etienne 3-0 and Metz 5-1. In Europe they destroyed Celtic 5-0, making them look like a team of amateurs and not the Scottish domestic champions.
This dominance has been impressive, but in truth they have yet to really be tested. Neymar has shown flashes of brilliance and with Mbappe and Cavani there as well, it’s no wonder the goals have been so easy to come by. But the toughest team they have played so far was Lyon and quite frankly Lyon have not been as impressive as they were last season, with several lack-luster draws.
This will undoubtedly be their biggest test yet and it will be one that puts the true skill of Neymar and company to the test. Are they good enough to challenge with the best, can they finally go one step further and with the Champions League trophy, or is this going to be another year where their hopes are pinned on domestic titles?
It’s still very early, much too early to tell for sure, but this game should give us more of an indication than any of the games they have played so far this season.Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich are also a dominant team in their country, but this season they have been thrown off their game a little. They have failed to win two of their size Bundesliga games so far and as a result they are sitting in 3rd, behind Hoffenheim and Dortmund.
It’s early doors, but it is potentially bad news for Bayern fan. They have struggled to get to their very best these last few seasons and if these early games are anything to go by then they could be repeating that this season. They will still be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, there is no doubt about that.
In fact, with a squad that includes Muller, Rodriguez, Lewandowski, Vidal and Robben, they will almost certainly be retaining the Bundesliga title at the end of the season. But it’s the Champions League that is the ultimate test for them. This is the title they want because this is the title that puts them at the very top and gives them the prestige they feel that they deserve.
As with PSG, they haven’t been tested as much as they could have or perhaps should have been. They drew to Wolfsburg in a game they really should have won and they lost to Hoffenheim. Away from those dropped points they were comfortable, as expected, against Anderlecht in their only Champions League game so far and they beat Schalke 04 3-0 away from home.
Those will be nothing compared to playing away to PSG. And considering they struggled against two teams they really shouldn’t have struggled against, there will no doubt be some worried Bayern fans prior to this game.
Add the fact that Manuel Neuer is injured for this game and they have had to call on a retired goalkeeper just to fill the squad, and it could be a nightmare for the German champions.
Bayern have a good team, that goes without saying, but I get the impression that their better players are either on the way out or have yet to settle into the squad. Robben and Ribery are 33 and 34 respectively, while Rafinha, Boateng, Vidal and Lewandowski are all 29 or older.
The fresh meat is there, but it’s not yet able to replace these older players and that could pose a problem. It’s one that PSG doesn’t’ really have though. They have been accused of trying to buy success and it’s easy to see why, but they have also focused on the high quality young players, players that have the ability to perform right now but will also grow into superstars.
PSG are a much better squad on paper and with home advantage, that should give them superiority. Of course, football isn’t played on paper. Any other time I would have given this one to Bayern, but their slip-ups this season have been a worry and I think that PSG will be too strong for them here.
I am predicting a win of at least 2 goals to the home team, so get on the PSG -1 handicap.
